Sticks & Stones

  • Artwork: A Jeweller's box covered in torn up pieces of paper. The text on the paper reads repeatedly: "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." This statement is of course not true - words can be far more dangerous and hurtful than weapons, let alone sticks and stones. To 'disqualify' the statement, I tore it up many, many times, so that it world be difficult to read. The torn up bits are stuck onto the entire box - inside and out-, three stones and four objects that could either be sticks or bones.
